The Pirates have emerged victorious in the Disability Premier League final, defeating the Tridents by 32 runs at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, on a bright and sunny afternoon. This victory at the home of Welsh cricket crowns them champions.
Paul our Teacher of Physical Activity and Pirate’s Head Coach shares his excitement:
“We pulled off an incredible victory! After two attempts, we finally won on our third try, making history as the first team to go unbeaten in the competition. I couldn’t be prouder of the players’ hard work and determination!
This tournament is such a fantastic showcase for disability cricket and sports overall. The pan-disability format allows the top players in the country to shine, regardless of their disabilities—whether it’s learning disabilities, deafness, or physical challenges. It’s truly inspiring to be part of this journey!”
