Year 7 Students’ Sports Afternoon

Seven of our Year 7 students had the exciting opportunity to visit Willows Sports Centre for an action-packed afternoon of trying out a variety of unique and engaging sports. Activities included archery, curling, throwing, axe throwing, football, and Boccia, providing a wonderful chance for our students to step out of their comfort zones and explore new challenges.

It was lovely to see our students working and engage with each other and having the opportunity to try different sports. Among the six sports they tried, archery emerged as the unanimous favourite, with many students saying it was the most fun and rewarding. This event was made even more special as our students got the chance to interact with peers from two other Derby City secondary schools.

We’re so proud of our students for their positive attitude and teamwork throughout the afternoon.
