We are delighted that you are considering Futures at Kingsmead for your post 16 journey.
Futures at Kingsmead is a specialist provision designed to support young people as they develop the skills, confidence and independence needed for adult life. We are committed to creating a nurturing and aspirational environment where every student can achieve their potential and prepare for their next steps.
To be considered for a place at Futures at Kingsmead, students must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). In addition, Futures at Kingsmead must be named as the educational provision within the EHCP before a student is able to attend.
If you are interested in a place at Futures at Kingsmead, we encourage you to speak with your Local Authority SEND Officer, who can discuss the placement process with you. The Local Authority will work with us to determine whether Futures at Kingsmead is an appropriate provision to meet the young person’s needs and aspirations.
Parents and carers are also asked to complete the Expression of Interest Form below. The information provided will help us and the Local Authority gain a clear understanding of the young person’s needs, strengths, interests and future goals. Please provide as much detail as possible, as this will support the placement consideration process.
We look forward to hearing from families interested in becoming part of our Futures community.
Please note: Completing an Expression of Interest Form does not guarantee a placement. All placements are considered in partnership with the Local Authority and are subject to the consultation and EHCP naming process.
